I was talking with a friend yesterday. We were laughing about some of our embarrassing moments so I thought I'd share one of mine.
Right after I graduated from high school, I had a job at Kinko's Copies. One time, around Christmas time, a man with white hair and a white beard all dressed all in red came in to get flyers copied for visits with Santa.
I took his order and told him it would be a few minutes and he said,
I took his order and told him it would be a few minutes and he said,"Thank you, Cari."
I was shocked that he would know my name! Could he really be Santa! I said in a tone of wonderment and amazment,
"How did you know my name!?!"
Everyone around me was laughing. I couldn't figure out what was so funny. For a brief moment, I believed again! Then the man said smiling,
"Oh, Cari! You do have a nametag on!"
So embarrassing!

Pretty embarrassing. But also pretty cute.
That is so funny! Ho Ho Ho!
My dad used to work with a guy that had a beard and everyone mistoke him for Santa. One time he was at a funeral and a little girl and her dad walked in and she pointed up at him and said "daddy look, it's Jesus."
hahaha. Funny!
I recently has a similar experience with someone calling me by name [and I had never met this person]. I was unaware that someone else had indicated to this individual who I was. What a relief it was to find out how they knew my name.
That is a situation where you could believe again. I probably would have done the same thing! When I had different jobs when I was younger I always forgot I had a nametag on.
This guy looks like the real deal. :)
