My boys crack me up!
Last night, while working on the computer, I overheard a conversation Jake, Scott, and Cole were having while watching "Emeril Live"
BAM!
They were discussing KitchenAid stand mixers.
It was agreed that they are cool and that

(Ummm...Why don't I have one then? Anyway...)
Then they were saying how cool it is that they come in so many different colors.
"Emeril's green mixer is pretty cool," Jake said.
Cole thought Alton Brown's was cooler.
(Yes, we watch the Food Network too much!)
Scott was just amazed that Emeril was using a handmixer and not his KitchenAid.
"They never use those!"
he said amazed because they always use their KitchenAids.
It was then agreed that KitchenAids make baking easier.
(Ummm...Again...Why then don't I have one?)
They also all agreed that they would never use a pink one or even a yellow one because they were "fruity".
I just had to laugh that my teenage boys were discussing KitchenAids of all things.

Can you have your boys come over and talk to my husband about this?! I have yet to see my Kitchen Aid in any color! I do need to get one!!
Agreed with the boys on the must-have of the Kitchenaid. Not agreed that pink ones are fruity. Pink ones delight and make better frosting. But I can't expect boys to believe me, right?
As long as you pick up the professional series (600 or better please). Of course that's what Emeril, Alton, Tyler, Michael, Giada, Paula, etc. all use.
It doesn't come in as many colors (like pink and yellow), but oh how sweet it is.
Also - the Pro has become less expensive than the "artisan" versions of late, because apparently it does cost to be pretty in pink.
BTW - I love that your boys watch the food network, it's on quite often at our home too. CK has expressed an interest in becoming a certified chef some day. I'm looking forward to a partnership - I'll manage the front of the house and he'll take the back. Make your reservations soon!
