Yeah.
Things have been nuts around here. (or have I?)
I don't know anymore!
Sorry it's been so long since I've updated.
Let me get you up to date with what's been going on in the Houghton household.
For starters,
look who won 2nd place in the Utah DECA competition...
This is his "sincere" smile.
Then I insisted he do a serious picture and I got this right as I pushed the button...
I was getting really irritated so he gave in and smiled nice...
Anyway,
we are very proud of Scott!
He won 2nd place in the Written Business Plan competition. He had to come up with a business idea, research it, develop a budget, write a business plan, and present it at the competition. He worked so hard and I'm so thankful that he did so well!
Because he came in 2nd place, he gets to go to the International competition next month in Louisville, Kentucky.
Pretty awesome!
Way to go Scott!

Apparently Emma has developed an edgy side...
***
Max has been playing Jr. Jazz basketball.
It's amazing the improvement he's made this year!
He loves basketball and
it's so fun to watch him play.
Here's some pictures of him in action...
(He's blue #13)

***
Cole was on the Provo High Winter track team.
He ran in a few indoor track meets and really enjoyed it.
He's just started the Spring track team and found out that he's quite the javelin thrower!
His first meet is in a couple weeks and
I can't wait to see him in action!
Here's a couple pictures I found on my camera.
I always love finding pictures of my kids AND my messy house!
Please ignore the mess in the background.
Fierce.
:)

Beth's moved on to the fourth grade for her second part of her student teaching experience.
She is absolutely loving it!
I just know she'll be a great teacher.
I love hearing about her experiences everyday.
I'm so thankful she's home!
I know the children she's taught love having her as their teacher.
She's still getting cute little notes from the little second graders even when she's not teaching them anymore.
A sign of how much she is loved for sure!

Jake's doing well.
He doesn't call home but he's doing well.
(Yeah, I'm gonna ring his neck if he doesn't write on his mission!!!!)
He's been busy with school, which is what he's supposed to be doing.
He did take a short trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico last weekend.
He's on the Ultimate Frisbee team for the UofU.
(I know. I didn't know they had one either!)
This isn't actually a picture of Jake, but this is what ultimate frisbee looks like...
It's kinda like soccer with a frisbee.
It's a good release for him and he really enjoys it.

Lee and I have been developing a little business idea we've had.
More on that later.
Hopefully I'll update more often.
No promises though.
Sorry.

Awesome pictures of your fun family! Those pictures of Scott gave me a glimpse into why he and Allen get along so well.
Good luck with your business idea!
