Emma celebrated her 6th birthday last month.
(Yes, I know. It's taken me long enough to post!)
She decided on a Hawaiian Hula Girl party.
Hawaiian music played in the background and paper palm trees were hung on the fence
(you know, for atmostphere!)
First off,
the girls got decked out in their
candy lei's, grass skirts, and flower clips for their hair.
(Check out the coconut bra her friend in the orange shirt wore! Funny!)
Then they decorated ukulele's
made from paper plates, cardboard, and rubber bands.
We then played Coconut Bowling
(that is until the coconut cracked open!)
After the bowling,
we used the random plastic flamingo that I found hanging on my garage door the day before
(another story for another post!)
for Ring the Flamingo's Neck.
And of course there was Limbo!
It wouldn't have been a Hula Girl party without Hula dancing!
(Yeah, I pretended that I remembered the Hukilau dance I learned in elementary school.
Thank the HEAVENS there wasn't pictures of that! Yikes!)
They were cute Hula girls!
Yeah, I think she had a good time!

you do the absolute cutest birthday parties!
Mother of the year! I can't imagine doing that at my age now with a six year old. Now in my 20's and 30's.....Yeah!
Too cute! And I remember that Hukilau dance, or parts of it anyway.
She had such a fun time! How lucky the flamingo showed up just in time for the festivities :)
