A Little Catch-up...

I know you've all been wondering,
"What's going on with the Houghton's?"
(All two of you that read this!)
Well, here's a little of what's been going on...

A couple weeks ago, Beth took Scott down to SUU for his interviews for Presidential Ambassador.
They both had a great time.
Beth visited with a few of her old teachers and her old friends.
Scott had a blast and can't wait to start college.
(He's on the countdown to graduation.)
I hope he makes Ambassadors.  He'd be perfect!
I'm still having a hard time thinking that another one of the chickies are leaving the nest but I know it'll be good for him.  Life around here will be so different without him though!
(I think Cole will go through withdrawls!)
****
Beth is on a Lindy Hop dance team at BYU now.
She goes twice a week and is having a fun time.
I'm so glad she's out having some fun!
The girl works her tail off!
****
Jake's doing well.  He's volunteering at the Tracy Aviary for one of his classes.
I'm happy because he's actually been calling at least once a week now!
He came home for presidents weekend.
It's been fun listening to them all laugh together!
I like having my family all together!
****
Max makes me laugh!
It's been really fun working at his school.
I get to see him interacting with all the kids and being in his classroom has been great.
Friday I was in his class assisting with an online test.
When the kids are done with the test, they go onto a keyboarding site and they practice their typing.
I let them listen to Mr.Z's tunes (off his website) when they are done with their test (they have headphones on).
He was typing away listening to Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop".
I know this because right in the middle of it all he bursts out singing,
"Don't stop thinking about tomorrow!" really loudly.
Everyone started laughing and Max kept on singing -- totally oblivious that he was singing out loud.
It was so funny!
Love that boy!
****
Emma lost one of her two front teeth tonight.
To say she was excited would be a total understatement!
Look at my cute toothless wonder!

I don't know if you can tell but the other front tooth isn' far behind!
I guess the tooth fairy will be making a visit to our house again!
Max lost a tooth yesterday.
Jake told me he's lost 50 teeth while away at school.
Good try Jake!
****
Scott went to the Valentine's dance with his good friend, Libby.
Isn't she beautiful!
She wears vintage dresses for all the dances.
I love it!
I do believe he's achieving his goal of being the dating legend!
He's gone to every dance this year and gone on many fun, creative dates outside of the dances.
I love it!
****
My job is going well.
I feel kinda like a Tech geek but it's all good.
The kids are a lot of fun and I work with some pretty great people.
Can't complain one bit!
****
Lee's business is booming.
He's crazy busy.
They've got some really huge clients and it will be really great when they get their projects done.
They are working on the Utah EB-5 Visa program.
He has meetings with the governor and everything!
I did an informational chart for them (for one of my projects at school) and the EB-5 people really liked it.  They are going to use it for their Facebook campaign!
Pretty exciting to have some of my work being used in the real world!
****
School's going well.
It's a little tough juggling homework, etc. with family and my job now.
Life is nuts but it's good.
I'm learning a lot of really cool things and I'm excited.
****

Well, hopefully I'll update more often so there won't be these catch-up posts all the time!

No promises though!   :)

So fun to hear about all the fun things the family is doing. We're all going in different directions these days with no holiday dinners in sight! I can't believe Scott is off to school soon. I want to stop time for a while. Well, maybe after the baby is born.
