Valentine Surprise

While Lee and Max were at Scouts, Emma decided it would be super fun to surprise them with a special Valentine's dinner.

They left and we told them we'd order pizza and it would be here when then got home.

Little did they know! :)

Once they left, we ran to the store and got what we needed.

Emma was in charge of setting and decorating the table.

She got out the fancy dishes, cut hearts out, found some flowers, made place cards and worked her "magic".

I think all those episodes of Semi Homemade stuck with her!

She then helped make the salads...

And carefully set them out on the table...

We made also made baked potatoes, London Broil, and cream puffs (Lee favorite).

When Lee and Max got home, 

she ran up to Lee, gave him a big hug, and said, 

"Surprise, Daddy!"

(So, so cute!)

Let's just say, this was Lee's best Valentine's day ever.

(With our first date 25 years ago a close second of course!)

Yep, it was a fun, memorable night!
