There's nothing like the 4th of July in Provo!
It's one of the reasons we love living here.
After the post-parade naps, we headed over to Cristina and Jonathan's beautiful house for the Annual Houghton Family 4th of July Bash.
We barbequed burgers and had summer salads and corn on the cob.
(Does anything say July more than corn on the cob?)
I, of course, ate too much! It was so delicious!
For dessert #1 Cristina made a yummy Strawberry Shortcake cake.
It was too good for words!
Thanks to Papa and "the boys" (who took a trip up north ) we didn't just do fireworks...We had a
Firework Spectacular!
This is just a small sampling of what we had. This picture was taken well into the show!It was NUTS!
The boys really got into this!It was great fun for all!
It lasted so long that our ears were ringing!
We were joking that next year we need to put it to music!
Who needs the Stadium of Fire when you have Papa and "the boys"?
They were shooting fireworks for over two hours!
It was crazy fun!
Emma had enough but it was lots of fun!
After the Fireworks Spectacular, we came in for dessert #2, Root Beer Floats.
It was a great time!
Thanks Cristina and Jonathan for another great party!
Until next year...

I love, love, love! the 4th of July. It looks like you had so much fun. I love fireworks and the warm weather and yummy food. It can't get any better than that!
How fun! What a great holiday right smack in the middle of the summer! There's nothing better! And that cake looks so yummy, by the way!
