laughter erupted after President Hinckley sustained
Elder Eyring as the new second counselor in the first presidency.
Those of us watching it on T.V. had no idea what was going on.
I was wondering what was so funny about sustaining new leaders?
For those of you that didn't see it on the news later,
here's what the laughter was all about...
After President Hinckley finished with the sustaining of the officers of the church,
Elder Eyring had moved to his new seat on the stand.
When President Hinckley turned around,
he stood there for a moment looking at Elder Eyring,
then picked up his cane and
"knighted" him on his shoulder and head!
Aren't we so blessed to have such a great man with
such a sense of humor leading us!
You gotta love President Hinckley!
I also love how President Eyring looks like a surprised little boy.
I'm sure that was probably one of the last things he expected!

It was a great moment and I actually really enjoyed conference. There was something special this time.
I missed this because I was listening to it on the radio. We really miss Grandma B at conference time because she always watched it and would quiz us on all the sessions. We had to be on our toes because we knew our nonmember grandma was watching conference and we weren't!
THANK YOU!!! I wondered what had just happened! I think about Pres. Hinkley and how he handles his awesome responciblities with a sweet sense of humor and I am inspired to attempt to do the same.

This made my day!! I did not know this had happened and I had to run and tell Chris all about it. How blessed we are to have President Hinckley!
I was fortunate to be able to see this in person. It was so so cute. He is just the most endearing man I have ever seen. Just one of the many reasons I love him.
I thought that was hilarious. I love how down to earth Pres. Hinckley is.
No WAY!!! I had no idea! that is so awesome, I love Pres. Hinckley!!!
