Yes, being cheap doesn't always save you money.
I designed Jake's graduation announcements and placed an order to have them printed through an online printer.
Long story short...
They turned out CRAPPY!
It looked like they grabbed some old cardstock and printed it out on a cheap home printer.
I was so disappointed and
not looking forward to Lee's "I told you so!"
(He didn't think it was a good idea to order them online).
Since it's only two weeks to graduation,
I needed announcements.
I decided I'd start from scratch so I redesigned them and went to trusty Sam's Club and they were able to produce something presentable.
Jake liked how they turned out so that's all that matters.
One less thing to worry about.

P.S. I am getting a refund for the crappy announcements--minus the shipping and handling of course! So, I'm out $14.95.
Yeah, being cheap doesn't always pay off!

I try to tell people that when they get photos printed that I take for them; more often than not they still run to Wal-Mart or someplace like that instead of going to a professional printer...
There really is a difference.
I'm glad you were able to get a set which will work. They look good.
With Elisabeth's announcements we went to a professional printer and they were awesome. I just didn't have the money this time so I tried to get the most for my $ but ended up spending more. Oh well.
they look great! that's a great picture of him.
last year, i spent way too much for christmas cards from an online co. & then i needed a few more and just got those at costco for a fraction of the cost. live and learn i guess!
I got mine today. It looks great!
I thought they turned out great! COngrats Jake!
I'm sorry the first set turned out crappy. At least you try to save money, I should try a little harder at that. They turned out great in the end! I can't believe he's graduating. Time flies.
Remind me sometime to tell you the story about my graduation announcements & photos... I had to buy them myself if I wanted any and I reached the same conclusion as you. It's actually really funny to look at them now...
