Have I told you Scott's goal pertaining to dating?
He's bound and determined to be
a dating legend.
Saturday's Prom helped him get that much closer to obtaining his goal!
The Prom date is an all day affair.
It's no longer just dinner and a dance (at least in our neck of the woods!)
Scott was in a group of 7 couples.
The boys worked hard planning a creative, fun, and memberable date for the girls.
It was decided to have a little kid themed date.
Here's how it went down...
Phase One -- Building a blanket fort, eating sack lunches, and watching a kid's movie.
This took place at our house.
We moved the dining table outside to make room for all fourteen teenagers.
(Yes, fourteen teenagers actually fit in my house!)
I am still amazed at the huge blanket fort they built!
Phase Two -- Playing games at Discovery Park in Pleasant Grove.
(I don't have pictures of this but I'm told is was "so awesome!")
Phase three -- Go home, get ready for the dance, and meet back at Provo High.
For Scott, he came home and took a nap, showered, and got dressed in his tux.
Then the "party van" (as it is lovingly called) came to pick him up and he went to pick up his date.
Lee was a stalker and met Scott at his date, Kyla's house for some pictures.
Here they are by the "party van" which looks a lot like our van but apparently it's cooler.
Don't they look great?
She is such a beautiful girl and just as nice too!
Phase Four -- Dinner on the roof of Provo High.
One of Scott's friend's dad is the head custodian at Provo High and let them have dinner on the roof. They set up a nice table and had tortellini soup with bread, cheese, and salad (all planned by the boys). It was perfect weather and they had a view of the sunset.
Pretty amazing from what I heard!
Phase Five -- The Dance and Promenade
They went to the dance at the Provo City Library for a little while and then participated in the Promenade. This is a tradition at PHS. Each couple is announced then they walk down the
stairs and we all get to see them all dressed up and we take pictures. It sounds kind of strange
but it is really fun!
So, I'm guessing Max thought she looked beautiful too! :)
Phase Six -- Dessert at the Otterstrom's house.
(I don't have pictures of this either)
After the dance, they went to the Otterstom's house for yummy cream puffs.
The party van then headed to Grandview Elementary to look at the stars then they took their dates home.
Scott's own words (from his facebook status)...
"Prom=BEST DAY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
