Lovin' the 4th!
The 4th of July is a big holiday in our home. We are a parade family! We love the parade! This was our 15th Freedom Festival Parade. It's been our family tradition ever since the first year we moved to Utah. (Jake was only 1 month old!) For the past 5 years or so, it's been our tradition to spend the night out on University Avenue outside of Choas Chinese Market.
(Well, actually it's been the boys in the family that have been the ones to spend the whole night. We girls haven't done it for a few years because Emma's been too little. Next year for sure!) We all have dinner together and hang out then we girls head home for some girl time while the boys stay for the crazy all-night fun! Then the girls return in the morning for breakfast and we all enjoy the parade. We have a lot of fun yelling at the participants in the parade. Lee's especially talented in this area!
It's just good old fashioned fun!
We're enjoying it so much that we don't even notice the heat!
After the big parade, we all head home for a good shower and nap. It's probably the one time we all agree on a nap!
Then we head over to Aunt Cristina and Uncle Jonathan's for yummy barbeque and tons of fun!
Let's not forget the fireworks!
I just love the 4th!
