Emma and Max totally love it when I bring out any decorations for the holidays.
Not that our decorations are fabulous or anything, but I guess it's just the idea of a new season that's exciting.
This year, we just went into the backyard and picked our 5 pumpkins that survived
(I can't believe that huge plant only produced 5 pumpkins!)
and our midget corn stalks
(We didn't plant our corn in the right spot. It didn't get enough sun I think.)
and decorated the front porch.
I don't decorate for Halloween.
In fact, I don't like Halloween.
I like making costumes but other than that,
it's a dumb holiday so I just decorate for fall.
Yes, I am a party pooper.

i completely agree with the halloween stuff--i was walking around the halloween stuff at walmart yesterday thinking, this is insane, there were so many gross/violent things.
i do like the get togethers i like the fall weather, and hey who doesn't love going through their kids' candy!
I'll just pretend that I didn't read this post, Cari. After all, Halloween is one of the greatest holidays of all time. However, I guess it all goes with how and with what we associate it with; this in turn is a lens of how we view it in the present.
I hope the Great Pumpkin makes a visit to you and yours spreading the joy of Halloween this year, but if not, at least there's chocolate...
;)
Okay... I'm having a difficult time breathing... did you honestly just say that Halloween is a dumb holiday? I mean, we are entitled to our own opinions, but you're talking about HALLOWEEN, right? I guess we all have our favorite holidays. I won't say which one is my least favorite because it gets people pretty feisty when I bring it up.
Very cute porch decorations... and kids. Happy fall!
