** Catch up post #1 Yes, life's been a little crazy. **
We celebrated our 6th annual
Kick off to Christmas
the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
We did things a little differently this year but it was still fun!
Lee's cousin, John, and his family came for dinner.
We had turkey and all the trimmings then just enjoyed everyone's company.
Lee and the kids picked out a live tree this year (it even had pinecones on it!) so we decided to decorate it different from our traditional way. We decided on an old fashioned tree with strung popcorn, made gingerbread and paper ornaments. So, we didn't actually decorate the tree after dinner but we did make our holiday plans and drew names for gifts.
It was a fun day!
Where did all these big kids come from? I guess they all grow up, don't they? I'm always amazed how many people we can fit in our small house! We had two big tables set up!
Lee and his cousin, John, chillin' before dinner.
Someone liked the rolls!
Emma and Joseph ate at their cute little table. :)
One of our favorite meals including Grandma Runner's Apple Salad. Yummy!
Beth with Ryan and Noel (in back). Fun kids!
Johnny and my failed pretzel salad. (Ignore the Walker's cups -- again. So sick!)
Max chatting it up with Christopher.
Emma working hard on stringing popcorn and cranberries. Everyone was SUPPOSED to help but it ended up being just me and Emma. She did a great job!
She really got the hang of it! Cute girl!
Good times!
Pictures of our tree and more of Christmas coming soon...

fun pictures---your yellow walls are really cute!
One year my roommates and I decided to string popcorn and cranberries for our little tree. The popcorn kept breaking and everyone quit but me - in the end we had a string that was maybe a foot long. So I know how much work it can be! Nice job, Emma & Cari! :)
