This past weekend was wonderful!!!
Lee and I spent the weekend in Park City and had
the greatest time!
It was a work retreat which didn't sound real fun to me at first
(you know...spending the weekend with a bunch of realtors...
not my idea of fun)
but I was wrong.
As it turned out, Lee was only obligated to attend a 2 hour class Saturday morning and the rest of the time we could do what we wanted. It was just what we needed. The kiddies stayed home (thank you Elisabeth!) and it was just Lee and I exploring Park City. It was so much fun to see all the cool shops and look into different neighborhoods.
If we could swing it somehow, I think that is where we would live (according to Lee).
For me, a great timeshare would be just fine. As cool as the city is, there are some weirdos there that I'm not quite sure I'd want to live around. But it was a fun time.
Lee said to me Saturday night,
"I'd forgotten how much fun we have together!"
I say we need to do this more often!
***************
I'm feeling the need to start something new ...
or at least develop some talent I already have. Seeing all those cool art galleries and photography shops in Park City really got me wanting to do something. I admire these artists that have worked hard to develop their talents and are willing to share them with the world! I have talents (some artistic too) but I'm not really good at anything because I haven't developed them to that point. Well, what I'm trying to say is that I want to work on it and get really good at something. I want to be known for something I'm really good at. You know, like some people are known as "music people" and others are artists or writers. When someone hears my name, I want to be known as something other than "she's okay at that but not great". I want to be great. Maybe even get good enough to make some money doing it. I watched this cool show on the Food Network about a lady that quit being a photo editor for a major magazine so she could pursue a career as a cake decorator so she could be home with her child. She worked hard developing her talent and figured out a way to make money doing it. She is really successful and now has a book coming out on cake decorating. It was a really interesting show.
It showed that something like that is possible.
I just need to find my niche.
Wish me luck!
